    For 2008, the Ram gets a little more macho. The 4.7-liter V8 has been upgraded significantly, boosting output from 235 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque to a robust 310 hp and 330 lb-ft. That moves it from having a slight advantage over the base V6 to nipping at the heels of the mighty Hemi V8.
